Finish Electrical Director Wins Award at the South West Business & Community Awards!
Aaron Cash, the Director of Finish Electrical, is delighted to have won the prestigious title of ‘Male Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the recent South West Business & Community Awards held at The DoubleTree Hilton in Swindon.
The glamorous awards ceremony commenced with a glittering champagne reception and was followed up with The Entrepreneur’s Godmother, Alison Edgar, hosting the awards and introducing the judges and charities.
Finish Electrical is delighted to have been nominated for three awards, shortlisted for two and the winner of ‘Male Entrepreneur of the Year’.
Aaron stated in his acceptance speech:
“I am absolutely delighted to have won this award. It is testament to the hard work and dedication shown every day by the whole team. I am overwhelmed that we were shortlisted amongst other inspiring businessmen and women, but to have won an award is a fantastic accolade and a great start to the new year.”
Aaron continued his speech with:
“This is absolutely amazing. We are nearly seven years in and it’s nice to see that all the hard work doesn’t go unnoticed. I’d like to thank my wife Natalie who also works alongside me and without her efforts I definitely wouldn’t be stood here today.
Also a big thank you to the rest of the team at Finish. It is nice to have a team who are just as committed as us and have the same drive. They are the backbone of this company.
This award means so much to us. Firstly it is chosen by such as esteemed panel of judges which I think you will all agree makes the awards so much more meaningful. The fact that these judges saw something in us is incredible so thank you. It also means so much to us as these are actually the first awards we have been nominated for as a company. So, to leave a winner is truly amazing.
When I left school I began my apprenticeship at my Dad’s company. Working for him I realised three things. I realised that in business you must stand out. When you’re in front of the customer be open and honest in order to gain customer confidence. And finally, you need to add value. This is what makes us different in our area. We also welcome feedback from our customers as we cannot grow as a company and be the best we possibly can be without this.”
Over 460 businesses and individuals based within the South West had been nominated for awards so to have been shortlisted is a massive achievement in itself. The judging process saw a range of esteemed entrepreneurs come together to scrutinise the finalists and select the short-listed nominees.
Aaron finished by saying:
“Thank you once again to the judges for this award. I am so very proud. This shows me that all the hard work is worth it.
